Esté Moorcroft

I received my B.Sc. in Physiotherapy from the University of the Free State in 1999. In 2000, I started as the team physio for the Free State Cheetahs' under 19 rugby team. After moving to Johannesburg, I began working in a private hospital, focusing on ICU and Orthopaedic care. This experience was valuable, but I truly found my passion in private practice. Here, I could provide patients with personalized care and continued support, which I deeply value. Since joining Action Physios in 2009, I've gained extensive experience treating various conditions, including headaches, back and neck pain, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Staying up-to-date with the latest research and treatments is crucial to me, which is why I completed a post-graduate Neuromusculoskeletal course and am currently working towards certification in Pain Management. My ultimate goal is to help people overcome pain and improve their quality of life.

Carolyn Hall

I qualified as a physiotherapist from WITS University in 2004. With over two decades of experience under my belt, I'm dedicated to providing exceptional care to my patients. My journey began at Leratong Hospital, where I completed my community service. This experience gave me invaluable insights as I treated a diverse range of inpatients and outpatients. After transitioning to the private sector, I honed my skills in various areas including ICU, surgical care, pediatrics, orthopaedics, and maternity care. Since joining the Action Physio team in 2011, I've specialized in treating a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck problems, sports injuries, post-operative recovery, and even respiratory issues. While I enjoy addressing various ailments, my particular passion lies in helping individuals overcome neck, headache, and sinus issues, as well as knee and ankle injuries.

Melinda van der Vyver

I graduated with a B.Sc. in Physiotherapy from the University of the Orange Free State in 1990, giving me over 30 years of valuable experience! My career began at J.G. Strydom Hospital, now known as Helen Joseph, where I treated a diverse range of patients, from inpatients and outpatients to even overseeing physiotherapy students. Always seeking to expand my skillset, I transitioned to the private sector. This broadened my experience in various areas, including ICU, Cardiothoracic surgery, spinal and neurological surgery, general surgery, orthopaedics, medical care, pediatrics, gynaecology, maternity, and outpatient treatment. To ensure I deliver the best possible care, I've continually taken courses and honed my expertise over the years. Since joining the Action Physios team in 2023, I've treated patients across a wide spectrum of physiotherapy. However, my true passion lies in helping individuals with orthopaedic issues, spinal conditions, and geriatric care. Compassion is core to my approach, as I believe in supporting patients throughout their recovery journey while achieving effective results.

Eileen Strydom

With a background in banking, I transitioned to the world of healthcare administration in 2007. Since then, I've enjoyed working as the morning administrator at Action Physios. Building relationships with our patients brings me great satisfaction. I care deeply about their well-being and often check in to see how they and their families are doing.

Jess van den Bergh

As the afternoon administrator, I get to welcome patients and make their arrival at Action Physios as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Being helpful is second nature to me, and I'm always happy to lend a hand whenever I can. Outside of work, I'm currently training to become a birth doula, which I'm incredibly passionate about!
